Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-B102482

Condition 

Engine control module (ECM) checks that the signal indicating engine start is sent (via CAN) from Central electronic module

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The signal coming via CAN is missing.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Engine running.

Substitute Value 

• The signal on the direct-connected cable to Engine control module (ECM) is used.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
• Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
• Open-circuit in terminals.
• Short-circuit in connections.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Starting/Engine does not start/Unsure when/at all times
