Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information PHM-B116915
Condition
The Phone module (PHM) checks the signal from the handset, cradle switch.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the handset has an unexpected value.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position 0, I and II.
- Battery voltage between 9 - 16 V.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- Only hands-free operates.
Possible Source
- Open-circuit in the cable for the cradle signal, between the handset and the control module.
- Short-circuit to voltage in the cable for the cradle signal between the handset and the control module.
