Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information Dim-U042268

Condition 

The Driver information module (DIM) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Central electronic module (CEM). The Driver information module (DIM) checks the quality of the information that comes from the Central electronic module (CEM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• Transmitting control module gives a lower quality level on the signal than the Driver information module (DIM) can accept.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Control module supplied with power.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Tire with incorrect dimension has been installed on front or rear axle (compare with other tires on the vehicle).
• Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Combined instrument panel does not function
• Speedometer not operating
