Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information DEM-P096162

Condition 

Differential Electronic Module (DEM) calculates an expected oil pressure increase in the AOC-unit (the mechanical clutch) during driving. The control module checks reasonableness of the oil pressure change.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The signal from the oil pressure sensor deviates too much from the predefined value.
• Incorrect value lasts longer than 5 minutes.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts when:

• The oil temperature is between -40 °C and 120 °C.
• 30 seconds since the test was run the last time.
• The torque transfer is below a certain level that can be calibrated.
• The lateral acceleration is below a certain level that can be calibrated.
• No ABS engagement.
• No antispin engagement.

Substitute Value 

• Four wheel drive is disengaged.

Possible Source 

• Damaged control valve/axial solenoid.
• Damaged AOC unit (mechanic clutch).
• Oil leakage.
• Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
