Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information DEM-U030046
Condition
The control modules in the vehicle send and receive information continuously on the vehicle's controller area network (CAN). The central electronic module (CEM) transmits a signal that contains information about the vehicle module. This signal must be registered by the differential electronic module (DEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No or faulty signal.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
