Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information DEM-U040168
Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) monitors the information that comes from other control modules. The Engine control module (ECM) informs of the engine's torque, amongst other things. Information about the engine's torque is used by the Differential electronic module (DEM) to control torque transfer to the rear axle.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Incorrect engine torque values transmitted from the Engine control module (ECM).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
