Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B102652
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) is responsible for voltage feed to Steering column lock module (SCL). Voltage feed to Steering column lock module (SCL) is checked by Central electronic module (CEM) which controls the voltage feed using an internal relay. Central electronic module (CEM) checks signals on the CAN-net showing that the engine is off and that the vehicle is not moving. Then the voltage feed is activated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) is supplied with voltage during driving.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- All ignition positions.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute Value
- None.
Possible Source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the power cable.
- Short-circuit to ground in the power cable.
- Internal fault in the central electronic module (CEM).
- Internal fault in the steering column lock module (SCL).
Fault symptom[s]
- Starter motor does not operate
