Checking The Connectors

The central electronic module (CEM) receives two collision output signals from the supplemental restraint system module (SRS). A signal is communicated via CAN. The second signal is a directly connected signal between the central electronic module (CEM) and the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

This diagnostic trouble code indicates that both signals are incorrect.

Troubleshoot as follow: 

• Check the power supply to the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
• Check the ground lead to the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
• Check the connectors and cables between the central electronic module (CEM) and the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

Remedy as necessary.

• YES 

  Refer to VERIFICATION 

• NO 

  FAULT TRACING FAILED:  The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed. Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
