Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B10E714: Notes

Condition 

Central electronic module (CEM) checks output signal to relay ignition on.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The output to the relay winding has an open circuit.
• The output to the relay winding is short-circuited to ground.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Relay not activated.

Substitute Value 

• The function switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) resets the result.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the cable.
• Open-circuit in the cable.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Battery discharges
• Engine fails to start
