Test With Another Control Module
NOTE:
Do not program a new Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) since Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) only can be programmed once.
- Ignition off.
- Try to replace the control module without programming it.
- Delete diagnostic trouble codes in the central electronic module (CEM).NOTE: Note any other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that are in the control module, before the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are erased, in order to carry out other fault-traces.
- Check to, see if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) recurs.
If the diagnostic trouble code does not return this indicates that the original control module is defective and needs to be replaced.
