Checking Communication

Check the communication with Start control module (SCU) by reading out the control module's serial number.

If the communication works and it is possible to read out serial number, the problem is intermittent.

If the fault is intermittent it means that it has been registered previously but is no longer present.

Intermittent faults may be due to interference at start up of the control module or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.

If the fault recurs, replace the control module.
