Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CEM-B102696: Notes

Condition

The steering column lock is checked by the steering column lock module (SCL). Steering column lock module (SCL) checks its internal function and sends the result to Central electronic module (CEM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

Steering column lock module (SCL) has detected an internal malfunction.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

All ignition positions.

NOTE: The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
