ECM-P256702: Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Temperature Sensor Circuit. General Failure Information. General Signal Failure (B6324S2; 2010): Fault-Tracing: Verification
HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Engine idling.
- Activate the test by pressing on the symbol for VCT2000.
The radiator and radiator temperature sensor can be checked by performing a quick-test.
NOTE: The climate unit shall be off during the whole test. Engine shall be idling during the entire test. Changes of these conditions cancel the test. The test consists of:
- Warm-up phase.
The engine temperature shall increase slowly and stabile above 90 °C. At the same time, the radiator temperature increases to above 80 °C.
- Measuring phase.
The electric cooling fan will automatically be activated at high speed. Temperature changes of engine temperature and radiator temperature are monitored.
- Evaluation phase.
Measuring values are evaluated and compared to expected values.
A report is generated after finished test. A print-out of the report shall be attached in case of any component change.
NOTE: Check Volvo's rules for warranty and spare parts handling for this component. Make sure that relevant procedures are followed. - Warm-up phase.
