Lateral Accelerometer, Signal

NOTE:

Only vehicles with DSTC.

The value shows the lateral accelerometer's signal, that is, the vehicle's lateral inclination. The signal from the lateral accelerometer, which is built in to the stability sensor(BSC), give s the brake control module (BCM) information about the vehicle's lateral acceleration. Left turn gives a roll to the right, which gives a positive value. A right turn gives a roll to the left, which gives a negative value.

Measurement range: -20 to +20 m/s2

HINT: The value can be affected by changing the vehicle's lateral inclination, e. g., by raising or lowering the vehicle's right or left side.
