Checking Shift Solenoids

• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position P.
• Activate shift solenoids S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5 individually.

  The status should switch between OFF and ON.

  If the status does not change, it indicates that there is an internal fault in the transmission control module (TCM).

Does solenoid status switch? 

• YES 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) REPLACEMENT AND PROGRAMMING
