Checking The Wiring And Component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D5 (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #1. Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D6 (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to ground. See SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS .
Check solenoid SLS by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2 on the connector. The resistance must be 5-5.6 Ω at 20°C. Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.
