Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the signal cable for the cradle between phone module (PHM) connector B terminal #12 (#54) and handset connector terminal #4 (#24). Check for an open-circuit and for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Try replacing the handset if the cable is OK.

Remedy as necessary.

• The cradle signal is approximately 2.9-3.7 V when the handset is not in the cradle
• The cradle signal is approximately 1.6-2.1 V when the handset is in the cradle
