Checking The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)

• Ignition off
• Check the connectors of the brake control module (BCM) and AYC sensor for contact resistance and oxidation.
• Ignition on
• Wait approximately 60 seconds.
• Read the status of the diagnostic trouble code.

  If the status of the diagnostic trouble code is intermittent, the malfunction was probably caused by contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors of the control module or AYC sensor.

Is the status of the diagnostic trouble code permanent? 

• YES 

  see CHECKING THE WIRING 

• NO 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
