HINT: The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running. 

The steering column lock is checked by the steering column lock module (SCL). The central electronic module (CEM) checks the power supply to the steering column lock module (SCL). The central electronic module (CEM) also transmits commands to the steering column lock module (SCL) when locking or unlocking is to take place. At the start of a locking or unlocking sequence, the steering column lock module (SCL) transmits the status of the lock cylinder position to the central electronic module (CEM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) indicates a faulty switch for indicating the spring bolt position.

• Defective switch for indication of the lock cylinder position.
