The steering wheel module (SWM) carries out continuous checks on the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if a fault is registered in the clock spring in the steering wheel angle sensor.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible Source 

• Internal fault in the steering wheel module (SWM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Traction control warning lamp lit
• The stability control system does not function.
