Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information CPM-4208

Condition

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the combustion preheater module (CPM) detects that the flame has gone out due to a malfunction when operating at low speed.

When the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored, the heater is switched off. If the heater is reactivated, the heater will try to start again.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the heater is activated.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Damaged fuel supply, air in the fuel line
• The intake manifold to the fuel tank is out of position
• Flame sensor clogged with soot
• Damaged flame sensor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Poor heating in the passenger compartment
• The parking heater does not operate.
