Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information GPS-0001

Condition

The global positioning system module (GPS) continuously monitors the signal from the GPS antenna.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an open-circuit in the wiring from the GPS antenna.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the global positioning system module (GPS) is activated

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the wiring between the GPS antenna and the global positioning system module (GPS)
• Damaged GPS antenna
• Contact resistance and/or oxidation.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The position of the car on the map is incorrect.
