Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the cable for the carphone antenna. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check between:

• connector A terminal #5 (#5) and connector C terminal #1
• connector A terminal #5 (#5) and connector C terminal #2.

Check the cable for the carphone antenna. Check for an open-circuit.

Take a reading on the antenna cable connector between terminals #1 and #2. If the antenna cable is OK, the resistance must be approximately 10 kΩ.

Check the connectors for loose connections, damaged or bent terminal pins and oxidation.

Try replacing the carphone antenna if the cables are OK.

Remedy as necessary.
