Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information PHM-0065

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the phone module (PHM) detects an open-circuit or a short-circuit to ground in the signals for either the SOS or the ON CALL switch.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (not key position 3) and when the battery voltage is between 9-16 V. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed for a phone module (PHM) with Volvo On Call functionality.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the cable between the phone module (PHM) and the ON CALL switch
• Open-circuit in the cable between the phone module (PHM) and the SOS switch
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable between the phone module (PHM) and the ON CALL switch
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable between the phone module (PHM) and the SOS switch.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Messages in the display
• No or reduced Volvo On Call functionality.
