Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information PHM-0040

The Phone module (PHM) checks the status of the internal SIM card (Subscription Identification Module). The SIM card is in the control module and is only used for Volvo On Call services.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The SIM card cannot be read.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts when:

• The application cannot access the SIM card.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• The SIM card is not inserted in the reader.
• PUK code missing.
• The SIM card reader does not work.

• Volvo On Call/Other Volvo On Call problems
• Volvo On Call/Does not work
• Text window and warning symbol/Text message
