Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information Sub-0004

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the subwoofer module (SUB) registers that the signal on the signal cable to voice coil 1 in the bass loudspeaker is too high or too low.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable between the amplifier and voice coil 1 in the bass speaker
• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable between the amplifier and voice coil 1 in the bass speaker.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No sound from the loudspeakers
• Muted/muffled sound from the loudspeaker.
