Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-C200387

Condition 

The control module is continually supplied with necessary information about the steering wheel buttons for cruise control from the Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication.

The control module checks the communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• No communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.

Substitute Value 

• Cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
• Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
• Open-circuit in terminals.
• Short-circuit in connections.
