Stop Lamp Switch, Status

The value indicates the status of the brake light switch. The Engine Control Module (ECM) transmits a signal on the CAN network to indicate the position of the brake light switch: activated or not activated. The Transmission Control Module (TCM) uses the signal for internal shift functions and for transmission diagnostics.

Not active = Stop lamp switch not affected

Active = Brake light switch actuated
