Diagnostic Trouble Code Information BCM-C004064
Condition
Diagnostic trouble code BCM-CO04064 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that brake light switch is not active when the brake pedal is depressed.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on and in the following cases:
- Braking from a speed over 40 km/h (25 mph) to stationary 3 times in the same ignition cycle without regulation.
- The brake pedal is held depressed and the brake light switch is active for more than 6 minutes.

Possible Source
- Mechanical defect in the brake light switch.
NOTE:
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
