This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status is an event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC). An event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC) does not mean that there is a fault in the control module when it is active, but is designed as information.

Engine control module (ECM) monitors the induction side's VVT-valve (bank 1). If the control module detects that the induction side's VVT-valve is too far from desired target value for a certain time, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
