Fault-Tracing Information

The steering wheel module (SWM) is initiated when the steering wheel is turned more than 5° in any direction. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) may be stored if the car has been driven for more than 2 minutes without turning the steering wheel. Discuss with the customer if this might be a possible reason for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) being stored.

If diagnostic trouble code (DTC) BCM-A030 is stored, fault-tracing must be carried out according to the relevant information.
