Test With Another Control Module

• Ignition off.
• Try to replace the control module without programming it.
• Click on the VCT2000 symbol.
• Check to see if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) recurs.

  If the diagnostic trouble code does not return this indicates that the original control module is defective and needs to be replaced.

Does the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) recur? 

• YES 

  Refer to CHECK LIN DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) 

• NO 

  Refer to REPLACING THE CONTROL MODULE
