Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-918A

Condition

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM), when attempting to adapt the electronic throttle unit, registers an internal fault in the integrated amplifier for the signal from potentiometer 1 in throttle position sensor (circuit 1) in the electronic throttle unit.

Substitute Value 

The engine control module (ECM) does not use the signal from potentiometer 1 for the throttle position (TP) sensor (circuit 1) in the electronic throttle unit.

Possible Source 

• Damaged engine control module (ECM).
