Checking Function Of The Gear Position Sensor

• Ignition on
• Depress the brake pedal. Move the gear selector to "Quickshift" position
• Move the gear selector to + and check that the gear selection is updated in the display on the driver information module (DIM).

  Move the gear selector to -. Check that the gear selection is updated.

Was the function OK? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to CHECKING THE TRANSMISSION CONNECTORS
