Condition

The power seat module (PSM) can store one seat setting in memory position 2.

Memory button 2 must be activated before the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be detected.

The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) is stored if the power seat module (PSM) detects that the setting in memory position 2 does not correspond with a calculated check sum.

Possible Source 

• Memory position incorrectly stored.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The memory button does not function.
