Signal Description, Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Left (SODL)/Right (SODR)

General

All the values given below are between the terminals stated in column 1 and terminal #C1:9 in column 2 (power ground).

NOTE:

It is important to connect the breakout box and check the ground connections before starting to measure.

U= DC voltage in volts (V) UAC = AC voltage in volts (V)
Ubat = Battery voltage in volts (V) f = Frequency in Hertz (Hz)
Ulow = Voltage approximately 0 V t = Time in seconds (s)
PWM = Pulse width modulated signal in %

#1 #C1:1 - - - -
#2 #C1:2 - - - -
#3 #C1:3 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Left/Right (SODL)/(SODR), detection signal U = Ulow U = Ulow Pin the wiring to Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Left (SODL) is connected to ground while pin in wiring to Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Right (SODR) is open circuit. The signal is to determine whether the relevant control module is installed on the correct side of the vehicle.
#4 #C1:4 CAN L, average speed U = Ulow During communication the voltage is U = 1.0 - 2.5 V Local CAN communication between Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Left/Right (SODL)/(SODR)
#5 #C1:5 CAN L, average speed U = Ulow During communication the voltage is U = 1.0 - 2.5 V Extended CAN. Used because the control module is located in a location in the vehicle that is deemed to be sensitive to collision and break-in perspective.

#9 #C1:9 Power ground U = Ulow U = Ulow -
#10 #C1:10 CAN H, average speed U = Ulow During communication the voltage is U = 2.5 - 4.0 V Local CAN communication between Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Left/Right (SODL)/(SODR)
#11 #C1:11 CAN H, average speed U = Ulow During communication the voltage is U = 2.5 - 4.0 V Extended CAN. Used because the control module is located in a location in the vehicle that is deemed to be sensitive to collision and break-in perspective.
