Ventilation Fan 6/28
GENERAL
Type
Power-supplying motor: Linear output amplifier.
Fan motor: Electromagnetic motor.
Characteristic
The voltage between terminal #1 and #12 on the breakout box varies linearly between 0 and 10 V, depending on the speed of the fan motor.
Other information
The fan motor is supplied by a PWM signal from the climate control module (CCM) via the fan's control module. The control module ensures that the fan motor receives the correct voltage in reference to battery voltage and that the fan thereby obtains the desired speed.
Diagnostic trouble code B10B911 is generated upon short circuit to ground.
Diagnostic trouble code B10B912 is generated upon short circuit to supply voltage.
DTC B10B913 is generated upon open circuit.
TERMINAL
| Breakout box connection | Connector terminal | Control module terminal | Signal type | Miscellaneous |

CHECK
Prerequisites (unless otherwise specified):
- Fan connected.
- Ignition switch position II.
Check 1
Check that the fan is operational by setting fan speed to 100% and listening. Sounds from the fan should be clearly audible.
