The normal value at ignition and with the engine running is approx. 12 V (battery voltage).
Temperature unit
The parameter indicates the internal temperature in the Phone Module (PHM).
Measurement range: -127 °C - 127 °C.
The normal temperature is approximately 70°C, but the temperature may vary depending on whether the air conditioning (A/C) or heater (climate control in the passenger compartment) is in use.
SOS-button (Volvo On Call)
The switches for ON CALL and SOS are located on the bracket for the tail lamp.
- Not pressed = The control module does not interpret the button as being pressed in.
- Pressed in = The control module interprets the button as being pressed in.
ON CALL-button (Volvo On Call)
The switches for ON CALL and SOS are located on the bracket for the tail lamp.
- Not pressed = The control module does not interpret the button as being pressed in.
- Pressed in = The control module interprets the button as being pressed in.
Antenna signal
The parameter indicates whether the Phone Module (PHM) uses the external or the internal antenna. The internal antenna is a spare antenna and is only found for Phone Modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call function. The spare antenna is only used when a Volvo On Call service is activated and the standard antenna is not working.
- Internal antenna = the internal spare antenna is used.
- External antenna = the external antenna is used.
Mobile connection 3G, received signal strength indicator, RSSI
The parameter indicates the signal strength for the Phone Module (PHM).
Measurement range 0 - 31.
The value of the signal strength depends on the coverage and geographical location of the vehicle.
The value for normal coverage/reception is approx. 20 - 25.
Mobile connection 2G, received signal strength indicator, RSSI
The parameter indicates the signal strength for the Phone Module (PHM).
Measurement range 0 - 31.
The value of the signal strength depends on the coverage and geographical location of the vehicle.
The value for normal coverage/reception is approx. 20 - 25.
Type of mobile connection
The parameter indicates the type of data transfer used.
The Phone Module (PHM) can communicate via the following types:
- GPRS .
- EDGE .
- 3G .
- HSPA+ .
- Unknown.
Volvo On Call Status
The parameter indicates the status of the Phone Module (PHM) for the Volvo On Call status.
- Deactivated = Activation of the Volvo On Call service is not possible.
- Pre-activated = The Phone Module (PHM) is prepared for the Volvo On Call service. When the module has this status the energy is saved in the internal battery. Volvo On Call is provisioned automatically in the event of a collision.
- Activated not provisioned = The Phone Module (PHM) supports the Volvo On Call service but the subscription is not active. Volvo On Call is provisioned automatically in the event of a collision.
- Activated and provisioned = The Phone Module (PHM) is activated and the Volvo On Call service is active.
In order for the Volvo on Call service to be provisioned, become active, the parameter must be set to: Activated not provisioned. If the customer does not want the Volvo On Call service, the parameter must be set to: Pre-activated.
VOC Provision status
The parameter indicates the actual status of the provision of Volvo On Call.
The following statuses can be readout:
- Not activated.
- Attempting to send the request.
- Waiting for data.
- Processing data.
- Sending confirmation.
- Performed successfully.
- Cancelled.
- Time limit exceeded.
- Performed unsuccessfully.
Network registration status
The parameter indicates the actual status of the network for the Phone Module (PHM).
The following statuses can be readout:
- Not registered - not searching.
- Registered.
- Not registered - searching.
- DENIED .
- Unknown.
- Registered roaming.
- Not available.
GSM IMEI NUMBER (MARKETS WITH GSM ONLY)
The parameter indicates the unique number ( International Mobile Equipment Identity ) that belongs to the Phone Module (PHM).
CAPACITY OF THE EMERGENCY BATTERY (VOLVO ON CALL)
The parameter indicates the remaining capacity of the internal emergency battery, which is only installed if the Phone Module (PHM) has Volvo On Call function. the emergency battery is only used upon activation of Volvo On Call when the standard power supply is missing. The remaining capacity for the backup battery is calculated by the Phone Module (PHM).
Measurement range: 0 - 100%. 100% is full capacity.
When the remaining capacity is 15%, the Phone Module (PHM) stores a DTC.
- 0 % corresponds to 0 minutes call time
- 10 % corresponds to approximately 10 minutes call time
- 20 % corresponds to approximately 20 minutes call time
- 30 % corresponds to approximately 30 minutes call time
- 40 - 100 % corresponds to more than 30 minutes call time
SIGNAL STRENGTH RECEPTION WLAN
The parameter indicates the signal strength for WLAN ( wireless local area network ) for the Phone Module (PHM).
Measurement range 0 - 31.
Active SIM card
The parameter indicates the active SIM card.
The following status values can be readout:
- Unknown.
- Internal SIM card.
- External SIM card (P-SIM).
GPS Received position, latitude (Volvo On Call)
The parameter is used by the Phone Module (PHM) with the Volvo On Call function. The Phone Module (PHM) receives the signal from the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU). In order for a valid value to be shown, the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) must have a fix on the vehicle's GPS position, if this has not occurred, the value 0° is shown. For optimum results, position the vehicle outside.
This parameter displays the latitude of the last received position of the vehicle.
The Phone Module (PHM) transmits the signal together with other vehicle data when a Volvo On Call service is activated.
GPS RECEIVED POSITION, LONGITUDE (VOLVO ON CALL)
The parameter is used by the Phone Module (PHM) with the Volvo On Call function. The Phone Module (PHM) receives the signal from the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU). In order for a valid value to be shown, the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) must have a fix on the vehicle's GPS position, if this has not occurred, the value 0° is shown. For optimum results, position the vehicle outside.
This parameter displays the longitude of the last received position of the vehicle.
The Phone Module (PHM) transmits the signal together with other vehicle data when a Volvo On Call service is activated.
