Description Of Parameters: Immobilizer
STEERING WHEEL LOCK, POWER SUPPLY
Indicates if the power supply to the steering wheel lock is on or off.
The power supply is only active during the locking cycle (approximately 1 second).
SIGNALS FROM START CONTROL MODULE (SCU) TO CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM) (NOT S60 (11-), V60 OR XC60 WITH STRUCTURE WEEK AFTER 1045, OR V70 (08-), XC70 (08-), S80 (07-), S80L FROM MODEL YEAR 2012).
Indicates the signals transmitted via LIN from the start control module (SCU) to the central electronic module (CEM).
The values that may be shown are:
- Switch 1 by start button (LIN signal). Not activated or activated.
- Switch 2 by start button (LIN signal). Not activated or activated.
- Switch 1 by start button, directly connected, Not activated or activated (shows status of the directly connected signal from switch 1 by start button)
- Contact breaker for indicating key in ignition switch. Not activated or activated
- Contact breaker for activating key ejection. Not activated or activated
Contact breaker activated only when the key is docked and pressed in at removal.
- Locking key. Not activated or activated.
SIGNALS FROM IMMOBILISER ANTENNA UNIT (IAU) TO CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM) (ONLY S60 (11-), V60 AND XC60 WITH STRUCTURE WEEK AFTER 1045, OR V70 (08-), XC70 (08-), S80 (07-), S80L FROM MODEL YEAR 2012).
Shows the directly connected signals from the start button's two switches to the Central electronic module (CEM).
The values that are shown are:
- Switch 1 at start button, directly connected, not activated or activated.
- Switch 2 at start button, directly connected, not activated or activated.
POWER SUPPLY MODE
Shows present current supply mode. The current supply mode affects which functions and systems are active or are possible to activate.
The values that are shown are:
- Key removed
This mode is reached 1 minute after the key has been removed from the ignition. The functions in the car that still are supplied with voltage are, e.g., alarm system and the system for keyless vehicle.
- Key recently removed
This mode is reached directly after the key has been removed from the ignition, and lasts for 1 minute. Functions such as Key warning and communication services for, e.g., phone module are usable this extra minute.
- Key approved
The key is in the ignition, position 0, and the key is approved according to the ID-list stored in the Central electronic module (CEM).
- Ignition off after accessory position
Key in position 0 after it has been in position 1. Synchronization of activities related to internal work memories takes place.
- Accessory position
Key in position 1. Infotainment functions and telematic functions are fully available until the units sense low voltage from the battery. Then they go to energy save mode.
- Accessory position after Ignition on
Key in position 1 after the engine has been running. Normal accessory mode plus the functions that are related to the engine being shut off.
- Ignition on
Key in position 2.
- Running
Key in position 2 and engine running.
- Start attempts
Key in position 3. Starter motor tries to start the engine.
ALCOLOCK, COUNTER BY-PASS (2008-)
The alcolock has an internal counter that stores the number of times that the system has been by-passed. When the counter reaches the maximum value of 255, it will not reset automatically and will not increase with further by-passes. Resetting is performed via VIDA/vehicle communication.
ALCOLOCK, EVENTS (2008-)
Five parameters that show the history of the five last text messages that have appeared in the combined instrument panel.
ALCOLOCK, START INHIBITOR EVENTS (2008-)
Five parameters that show the five last results from the alcolock.
The values that are shown are:
- Start permitted.
- Start not permitted.
GLOBAL TIME EVENTS (2008-)
Five parameters that show global time during the five last occasions that the alcolock was used.
