Checking The Component

Disconnect any connection from the socket for the tow hitch connector
Ignition off, wait for at least 1 minute
Break the power supply to the trailer module (TRM) by disconnecting the battery negative lead. Wait 10 seconds
Connect the battery negative lead.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the terminal pins in the trailer module (TRM). There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the control module.

Download new software and reprogram the trailer module (TRM).

If the fault remains after reprogramming, replace the trailer module (TRM).
