Checking The Power Supply And Ground Terminal

• Ignition off.
  NOTE:

  Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) supplied with power one to three times every 0.35 seconds during locking and unlocking.

  Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #B10 (#10) and the steering column lock module (SCL) terminal #A2. Check for an open-circuit.

  Check the signal cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminals #B17 (#17) and steering column lock module (SCL) terminal #A4. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

  Check the cable between steering column lock module (SCL) terminal #A3 and ground. Check for an open-circuit. Also check the ground terminal for oxidation.

  Remedy the cables as necessary.
