DESCRIPTION
Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (Volvo) has decided to conduct a voluntary safety recall on certain model year 2012 S60 T5 vehicles.
Volvo has identified that fuel may not be transferred from the passive to the active part of the fuel tank. Under certain driving conditions, the driver may notice engine hesitation and in a worst case scenario the engine may stall. This condition can occur even with the fuel gauge indicating up to 1/4 of fuel left in the tank.
The corrective action is to perform an Engine Control Module (ECM) software Upgrade.
