Checking The Wiring And Component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the cable for power supply between transmission connector terminal #S (#A16) and transmission input speed sensor connector terminal #A. Check for an open-circuit. See OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to ground. See SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See SHORT-CIRCUIT TO SUPPLY VOLTAGE. PERMANENT FAULTS .
Check the signal cable between transmission connector terminal #V (#A19) and transmission input speed sensor connector terminal #B. Check for an open-circuit according to OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO SUPPLY VOLTAGE. PERMANENT FAULTS .
Remedy as necessary.
