Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information DEM-U03004A: Notes
Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the configuration in the connector to the differential unit (AOC unit).
NOTE:
A control module from another make of vehicle with a similar four wheel drive system can be incorrectly installed in a Volvo.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The connector in the control module does not have the correct configuration.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
NOTE:
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- Four wheel drive is disengaged.
