Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-918A is stored if the engine control module (ECM), when attempting to adapt the throttle unit, registers an internal fault in the integrated amplifier for the signal from potentiometer 1 in the throttle unit throttle position sensor (circuit 1).

Substitute Value 

The engine control module (ECM) does not use the signal from potentiometer 1 for the throttle unit throttle position (TP) sensor (circuit 1).

Possible Source 

• Defective engine control module (ECM).
