Checking The Intake And Exhaust System

Check the intake and exhaust system. Check for blockages.

Check the intake system for leakage.

Check the inside of the throttle body (TB). Check for contamination. When the throttle body (TB) is contaminated, the air flow to the engine is impaired and diagnostic trouble code (DTCs) or fault symptoms can occur.

Remedy as necessary.

Was a fault detected? 

• YES 

  Refer to INFORMATION 

• NO 

  Refer to PROGRAMMING OR REPLACING THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)
