Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-9860
Condition
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault indicating that the normal engine control functions have not discovered a fault in the signals from the accelerator pedal (AP) position sensor, but that the internal monitoring function has detected a difference between the two signals.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is diagnosed at ignition on or with the engine running.

- Engine speed (RPM) and torque are limited to a calculated normal operating range.

- Damaged engine control module (ECM).

- Maximum engine speed (RPM) too low
- Cruise control does not work at all
- Uneven idle
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
