Checking The Status

Ignition on, wait for at least 15 seconds to perform the diagnosis.
Read the diagnostic status and fault status for the diagnostic trouble code by selecting the diagnostic trouble code in the list.

Check if the malfunction is permanent or intermittent by reading off the diagnostic trouble code's status when the diagnostic status is "Implemented".

If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates that the malfunction is permanent. If the trouble status is "No malfunction found", this indicates that the malfunction is intermittent and not active right now.

NOTE:
Trouble status cannot go from "Malfunction found" to "No malfunction found" in the same operating cycle.
