Steering Column [2011-2018]: Removal

NOTE:

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

WARNING:

The steering column may contain pyrotechnic components.

NOTE:

Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting. Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING

Remove Steering Wheel Module (SWM). Refer to STEERING WHEEL MODULE

NOTE:

Make sure that a new component is installed.

Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 25 Nm
