Checking The Control Module

• Ignition off
• The breakout box connected
• Control module connected
• Transmission connector disconnected
• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position P.

  Check the circuit for solenoid S1 by connecting an ohmmeter between terminals #50 (#A50) and #53 (#A53). The resistance must be between 7 and 13 KΩ. Try a new control module if the resistance is 0.

  Remedy as necessary.

Was the resistance incorrect? 

• YES 

  Refer to VERIFICATION 

• NO 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
